Social Link: Episode 1 – Resurrection

stereogram podcast 1

It feels good to be home.

Social Link is The Stereogram’s games podcast, featuring our staffers yammering about the latest video game news and releases. We’ll be putting this out on a weekly basis, so be sure to check around us out on Twitter for any updates.

Our debut episode features Justin, Alex, and Isaac making a few introductions before talking about cool emergent gameplay in New Vegas and EVE Online, people on the internet claiming to know more about things than they actually do, Chinese digitized sprite fighting games, and the 2 Live Crew.

About Justin Hutchison

Despite being the youngest member of Stereogram’s staff, Jay was still old enough to cut his teeth on the last arcade in town before it closed for good. (Damned go-kart accidents.) Though he’s a bit of a late arrival to the comics scene, he’s spent most of his life steeped in anime and games of all sorts. Outside of his writing, he makes music as Fatal Labyrinth. He is not a fan of Fatal Labyrinth, the video game.

    I really enjoyed this!
If I may give a technical recommendation, I think making everyone’s voices closer in volume would help, and I’d recommend looking into using Truncate Silence to help with the flow!

Thanks! It’s good to hear people are enjoying the first episode. In the future I’ll try some compression and Truncate Silence, though hopefully issues with the flow will fade out as we get more practice doing this again.
